Local officials in Nangarhar reported that Bahram, a former jihadi commander, was gunned down in Khiwa district last night. Ataullah Khogyani, spokesman for Nangarhar governor, said that the commander was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Abdul Khail area of the district. He added that Bahram was on his way to the city with his friend when they were gunned down. Khogyani further stated that Bahram’s friend was injured in the incident. No group has claimed responsibility.
