Some 300 Displaced Families Receive Foodstuffs in Nangarhar

Local officials in Nangarhar said that more than 300 displaced families received foodstuffs in Lalpor district. A press release from Nangarhar governor’ office stated that the displaced families were in need of essential supplies. The statement quoting Qazi Tareq, district governor of Lalpor, stated that rice, cooking oil, beans, sugar, and soap were distributed to the families by the provincial directorate of Afghanistan Natural Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA). Meanwhile the families who were grateful for the aid requested security institutions to crackdown on armed anti-government groups so that they can return  to their homes.
