Mohammad Gulab Mangal, Nangarhar governor, said that President Ashraf Ghani has stressed elimination of Daesh in the province via a telephonic conversation. Mangal visited a number of religious scholars, tribal elders, civil society activists, and youths of the province yesterday. A press release from Nangarhar governor’s office stated that President Ghani has told the governor to eliminate Daesh militants from the province in the operation codenamed “Hamza” which has been launched in the province for elimination of Daesh.  Mangal said that in a consultation meeting he had with US commanders and advisors, they assured him that Daesh will totally be wiped out and eliminated from the province. He asserted that Afghan government along with the international community is committed to relief people, especially residents of Shenwari district, from the oppression of Daesh militants. On Thursday night the US military dropped American’s most powerful non-nuclear bomb on Daesh cave and tunnel complex in Achin district of Nangarhar.
