Security officials in Ghazni said that Taleban’s coordinated attack on Deh Yak district of Ghazni was repulsed last night. They said that 200 Taleban insurgents launched coordinated attack on the district last night. Gen. Nizamuddin Khanjar, commander of 3rd division of Afghan National Army (ANA) told, killid that the attack was fiercely repulsed by Afghan security forces and 14 Taleban insurgents including a prominent commander were killed and 10 others were injured. He added two policemen were killed and one was injured. Meanwhile Fahim Amarkhail, spokesman for Ghazni police, said that among those killed were commander Hamza and Maulavi Ahmad Waziristani, who had a key role in killing of several National Directorate of Security (NDS) personnel of Paktika. Taleban militants have not commented on the statement yet.
