Security officials in Nangarhar said that 23 Daesh militants were killed and one was injured in Afghan security forces’ operation codenamed ‘Hamza’ in parts of Kot and Achin districts.

Security officials in Nangarhar said that 23 Daesh militants were killed and one was injured in Afghan security forces’ operation codenamed ‘Hamza’ in parts of Kot and Achin districts. Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal, spokesman for Nangarhar police, told Killid that the operations were launched in parts of the districts last night in which 23 Daesh militants were killed and one was injured. Mashriqiwal added that there were no civilian or military casualties during the operation. Daesh militants have not commented on the statement yet. Meanwhile Ataullah Khogyani, spokesman for Nangarhar governor, said that a civilian was killed in Jalalabad, provincial capital of Nangarhar, last night. He added that the man was killed by unknown gunmen in PD 2 of Jalalabad. The motive behind the incident is not clear yet.
