13 Drug Traffickers Nabbed, 46 Insurgents Killed in Five Provinces

The Ministry of Interior Affairs (MoI) said that 13 drug traffickers were arrested and 46 insurgents were killed in five provinces in the past 24 hours.

13 Drug Traffickers Nabbed, 46 Insurgents Killed in Five Provinces

The training was in preparation for future air assault missions needed in order to disrupt insurgent activity and bring stability to the population and the region.

The Ministry of Interior Affairs (MoI) said that 13 drug traffickers were arrested and 46 insurgents were killed in five provinces in the past 24 hours. A press release from MoI stated that the anti-drug police of MoI launched 16 operations in parts of Kabul, Panjshir, Herat, Kandahar, Bamyan, Paktika, and Maidan Wardak provinces in the past 24 hours in which 13 drug traffickers were arrested. The statement added that 22 kg of drugs and three vehicles were also confiscated. The statement further stated that 46 insurgents were killed and more than 21 others were injured in seven joint operations launched in parts of Nangarhar, Herat, Jawzjan, and Sar-e-Pol provinces to crackdown on armed anti-government groups. Taleban militants have not commented on the statement yet.
