The Refugees and Repatriation Department in Nangarhar has provided cash assistance to refugee families recently returned from Pakistan. A press release from Nangarhar governor’s office quoting Ghulam Haidar Faqirzai, provincial head of the refugees and repatriation department, stated that 241 returnee families each received a donation of 37960 Afs with financial support from an NGO. He added that the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) also donated 120 USD to each 210 returnee family. Faqirzai instructed the survey team to try and help all the returnee families. He further stated that the donation process continues and all the returnees will be assisted after the survey is completed.
