Security officials in Nangarhar said that 25 Daesh militants were killed in a new operation codenamed “ Hamza” in parts of Kot and Achin districts. Brigadier Sheren Aqa Faqiri, spokesman for Selab 201 Corps, told killid that 25 Daesh militants were killed and tens of others were injured in Afghan commandos’ ground and air operations in parts of Achin and Kot districts in the past few days. He added that six suspects were also arrested during the operation. Faqiri further stated that they are trying to clear the areas of insurgents. Daesh militants have not commented on the statement yet.
