Security officials in Kunduz said that sanctuaries of Taleban militants were targeted by US drone strikes in Dasht-e- Archi and Chardara districts. A press release from Pamir 20 Division stated that foreign troops’ drone targeted Taleban’s sanctuaries in Dasht-e-Archi and Chardara districts last night. The statement added that 16 Taleban insurgents were killed. The statement further stated that Maulavi Wahidullah, a deputy shadow governor of Taleban, was also killed during the operation. Taleban militants have not commented on the strike yet.
