Security officials in Nangarhar said that nine Daesh militants were killed and two others were arrested in a special operation in parts of Achin district. Brigadier Sheren Aqa Faqiri, spokesman for Selab 201 Corps, said that special commandos of Afghan National Army (ANA) conducted a special operation in Gandar area of Achin district last night in which nine Daesh militants were killed and two others were arrested. He added that there were no civilian or military casualties during the operation. Daesh militants are yet to comment on the incident.
