65 Tonnes of Expired Drugs, Foodstuff Destroyed in Nangarhar

Officials in Nangarhar public health department destroyed 10 tonnes of poor quality medicines and 55 tonnes of expired foodstuff today. Dr. Ashraf Ahmadzai, head of obsolete drug collection committee in Nangarhar, said that the obsolete and poor quality drugs and foodstuff were collected from Jalalabad, provincial capital of Nangarhar, and others parts of the province over the past 12 months. He further stated that efforts to continue seizing poor quality and expired foodstuff and drugs are underway.
