ARG (Presidential palace) reported that President Ashraf Ghani is likely to visit Indonesia soon. A press release from ARG stated that that the president met with Indonesia’s new ambassador to Kabul yesterday and promised to travel to Jakarta for further strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries. The president accepted the “letter of credence” from the new ambassador Arif Rachman. The Indonesian ambassador assured President Ghani that he would work to strengthen relations between the two countries during his term in Afghanistan. President Ghani said that Indonesia is a friend and brother country of Afghanistan and Kabul wants expansion of bilateral ties between the two countries.
