Afghan Security Forces Smash Drug Factories in Helmand

Afghan security forces destroyed two major drug centres in Nawzad district of Helmand last night. Security forces destroyed the factories in a raid. Major Gen. Wali Mohammad Ahmadzai, commander of Maiwand 2015Corps in Helmand, said that a major centre of control and leadership of armed opposition was also destroyed during the operation. He added that the operation was conducted by the Afghan Special Forces and 200 barrels of drugs and chemicals for processing were also destroyed. Ahmadzai reiterated that the destroyed drug producing factories were worth more than six million USD.
