At least nine Taleban insurgents were killed and nine others injured in a joint Afghan and US airstrike in Greshk, Garmser, and Kajaki districts of Helmand. A press release from the Maiwand 2015 Corps stated that nine Taleban insurgents including a prominent commander were killed and nine others injured. The statement identified the commander as Khan Mohammad and added that ten different types of mines were also discovered and neutralised during the operation. Taleban militants have not commented on the statement so far.
