A woman was killed by her husband’s brother in Nangarhar last night. Ataullah Khogyani, spokesman for Nangarhar governor’s office, said that the woman was shot dead by her brother in-law- in Toto area of Sherzad district last night. The motive behind the incident is not yet known but local officials assured that the investigation has been launched. Khogyani added that the perpetrator is fugitive now but the woman’s father in-law- has been arrested by police. According to the figures provided by women’s rights organisations, violence against women has been on the hike since the beginning of this solar year.
