Afghanistan has handed a list of all active terrorist groups to Interpol (International Criminal Police Organisation). A press release from the Ministry of Interior Affairs (MoI) stated that the list was handed to Secretary General of Interpol Jürgen Stock by Abdul Rahman Rahman, deputy security minister of MoI, at the sidelines of a regional cooperation conference in Bangladesh. The statement added that Rahman asked Interpol secretary general to help Afghanistan in the fight against terrorism and organised crimes in the region. Meanwhile Stock has promised to hook up Afghanistan Interpol offices’ internet to IGCI which has advanced technical system. He added that Interpol will support this programme for three years in Afghanistan. Earlier President Ashraf Ghani said that 20 terrorist groups including Taleban and Daesh are operating in Afghanistan.
