Two armed groups clashed in Daikonde province yesterday. Sher Mohammad Entezar, spokesman for Daikonde governor, told Killid today that the incident involved armed men of Chaman and Sultan in parts of Ashtarli district. He added that three people were killed and two others injured and asserted that personal enmity was the motive behind the incident. Entezar further stated that the clash has ended now and security forces have been deployed to the area to probe the incident. Ashtarli is among the relatively disturbed areas in Daikonde and armed anti-government groups are actively operating in parts of the district.
