The National Directorate of Security (NDS) announced that Mawlawi Abdul Qayom also known as Shaheen Khurasani, a prominent Daesh commander who had masterminded the deadly suicide attack on a mass rally by Enlightenment Movement in Kabul was killed in Nangarhar. A press release from NDS sent to Killid stated that the commander was killed in a joint Afghan security forces’ operation in Archin district of Nangarhar. The statement added that Khurasani commanded 200 Daesh militants in Nangarhar. The attack on the Enlightenment Movement rally in Kabul killed 86 people and injured more than 400 last year.
