Ministry of Interior Affairs (MoI) announced that dozens of armed anti-government forces were killed in operation in two different provinces in the past 24 hours. A press release from the MoI stated that 40 Taleban insurgents were killed in an airstrike conducted by Afghan security forces in Khakrez district of Kandahar last night. The statement further stated that 37 Daesh insurgents were also killed in an operation in Achin district, Nangarhar, last night. Taleban and Daesh militants are yet to comment on the statement.
