Malem Mir Wali, parliament member (MP) from Helmand province, was the target of an armed attack this morning on the outskirts of Kandahar. A security source confirmed the incident and added that the MP was injured in the attack and was transferred to the nearby hospital. Security officials said that the attackers targeted Mir Wali in PD 10th area of the city. No group has claimed responsibility.
