Local officials in Ghani said that 24 Taleban insurgents including 18 Pakistani insurgents were killed in the past 24 hours in clash with Afghan security forces. Abdul Karim Matin, governor of Ghazni, said that 24 Taleban and Pakistani insurgents were killed and tens of others were injured in clash with security forces in Kabul-Kandahar highway. The governor asserted that Afghan security forces further prevent abduction of passengers, whom used to be kidnapped from the area, on the highway. Matin further stated that there were no casualties among Afghan security forces in the operation. Taleban militants have not commented on the statement so far.
