Twelve people were killed and injured in a clash over land dispute in Nangarhar yesterday. A press release from Nangarhar governor’s office sent to Killid stated that the clash happened in Hisar Shahi area of Rodat district between two families. The statement added that motive behind the clash was land dispute on which one person was killed and 11 others were injured. The statement further stated that the slain person was Malak Masha’s son, a tribal elder, who was shot dead by Malang Gul’s family. According to Nangarhar governor’s office, the injured, who were all in critical, were transferred to nearby civil hospital. Though the clash ended yesterday, no government delegation from the central province has been deployed to the area to further investigate the incident.
