Ministry of Interior Affairs (MoI) said that 12 Daesh militants were killed in Shaheen 25 military operation in Nangarhar province in the past 24 hours. A press release from MoI sent to media stated that the operation was launched in the Haska Mina district of the province to clear the area of insurgents. The statement added that Mullah Naeem, a local Daesh commander was killed and four other Daesh militants were injured. The statement added that nine villages have been cleared of insurgents during the operation and Afghan security forces seized some weapons of the insurgents. The statement did not provide details of Afghan security forces’ casualties during the operation.
