Officials of 201 Selab Corps in the east said that some 30 Daesh militants were killed in the Shaheen 25 operation in parts of Haska Mina, and Koot district of Nangarhar in the past 24 hours. Sheren Aqa Faqiri, spokesman for 201 Selab Corps, told Killid that 22 Daesh militants were killed and 7 others injured in aerial and ground operations conducted by Afghan security forces in different parts of Haska and Mina Koot districts. He added that the operation was launched to crack down on armed anti-government opposition, especially Daesh militants. He further stated that one Daesh militant was arrested and several villages were cleared of Daesh. There is no comment yet from the militants. Koot and Haska Mina are disturbed districts of Nangarhar where Daesh militants are actively operating.
