A training course in journalism for one hundred children was once again started this year through program of Campaign for Change of Life of Radio Killid beside its other press programs.
The three months course on journalism would cover the children who were busy on doing onerous works on the roads to repel their families’ economic difficulties and had been gathered by Killid Group/DHSA through financial support of European Union and coordination other organizations
Mohammad Omar Mukhtar the project manager of Campaign for Change of Life told that the training would cover a number of one hundred children including boys and girls who have 15-18 years age from five provinces of Kabul, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Hirat and Balkh.
According to Mukhtar’s statements the goal of course is the growth of the economic situation, talents and mentalities of the children, he told “Though the children cannot get entire acquaintance with journalism in such a short time but they can express the situation and problems of their peers by their own language through the reports.”
Mohammad Belal Sidiqi the Assistant of Children Department in regional office of Afghanistan Human Rights Independent Commission calls the organizing of mentioned course a good step in the way of access of children to their rights and education and says that this would put positive impact on their project.
Gul Mohammad Mangal the member of ASCHIANA organization told that the establishing of this course is a good achievement for the children, if they utilize it well, their future would bright.
The parents of participant children in the course also expressed their gratefulness from Killid group and the partner organization and told that they would try their children benefit positively the mentioned training center.
Showing their interest to journalism the participant children in the course hoped that they would serve as good journalists to community.
The mentioned 100 children are being trained in journalism by Killid group and other partner organizations in five centers in a situation that a number of 100 children graduated last year from journalism course who are working in different media offices.
