August.2012.

Pashto text of live Radio roundtable.

Subject: Women’s rights by Islam.

Producer: Mohammad Nasim Lalahand.

In the name of almighty God, Dear readers and lovers of Radio Killid Website! Greetings to you, now we want to present once again a roundtable on women’s rights by Islam through program of campaign of change of life, our esteemed guests to this roundtable are Malawi Bashir Ahmad Nesar, Mr. Stoh Alia Khudabakhsh Muhsini and religious expert Mrs. Husnia Toba are the participants in the roundtable, we are grateful to them that they accepted our invitation and waste their time through participating in the debate, so now we want to first ask Mr. Muhsini.

Question: What is right scientifically?

Answer: In idiom, whatever is according to nature and fact is called right, but if something is against the nature it is called null, the right is the water that give benefit to everyone but the null is the foam on the water that can be seen but it is not beneficial to anyone.

Question: Malawi Nesar! Up to which limits the Islam has heeded to legal part in women’s rights?

Answer: Islam has paid attention well to all rights of women that no one can reject it, the Islam is the only religion that has so many different program and valuable guidance that no human made laws has them so the Islam addressed and guided the human, the fact that we have not been able to implement them is our own problem because we disobey them.

Question: Mrs.Toba! Have the Afghan women been able to have good position/status in the community?

Answer: Though we live in a Islamic community and the Islam has many good rules for the correction of the life of Muslims but still the women have not been able to live as it is required, this is due to the people that are unaware and they don’t have public awareness, the illiteracy of women has also caused that they cannot know their rights and get their rights.

Question: Mr. Nesar! By your opinion why the women have not been able to get their rights?

Answer: This is clear that no one has gotten their rights that the women would reach, but if our goal is the human rights and social rights for the women, the men have always tried to safeguard the social and human rights of the women, the organizations and organs that are working for women they bring up always the problems of women and solve them, but they have not been able to solve the issue of violence against the women. The fact why the women have not gotten their rights is due to their unawareness from Islamic guidance and law.

Question: Mr. Muhsini! We always hear that the men and women have the equal rights from view point of Islamic and Civil laws, it this rights? How this has been put in practice?

Answer: First I should say that the Islamic laws are better and valuable than other laws in our country, when we study the Islamic laws we can get the result that except Islamic laws no law has been able to have guidance based on human’s wishes, the position and status of the men and women has been proved and made clear well and properly in Islamic laws, but if still some people say that why the groundwork of education has not been provided for the women in a specified area or they are not allowed, these are our environmental problems, we are to be blamed not the right, for example if I am hungry I have right to eat something, what I should do  if there is nothing  for eating, it is possible that there might be insecurity in case of insecurity the safety of one is more important and priority than its education.

Question: One of our audients has asked Mr. Nesar that a religious scientist in our village propagandize on sending the girls for education but he does not let his daughter to get educated so is not this the trampling upon his daughters’ rights?

Answer: Islam has not put any difference in education for men and women, it has ordered all the Muslims that the education is incumbent on every man and woman, every man and woman has the obligation to get educated, the Islam has ordered that when the boy and girl graduates from twelfth class they cannot continue the studies jointly in one class rather they should study separately for the prevention the ethical corruption, the nonexistence of the schools for girls has caused the deprivation of girls from education , so if we give hand to each other , provide the groundwork of education for women and implement the Islamic laws, no problem would remain.

Question: Are the laws and rights considered by Islam are enough?

Answer: Yes, the laws considered and given by Islam for women are proper, they all are good for the correction for all sides of their life, this is the unjust of our community that the people don’t let the women to get their rights and counter for getting their rights.

Question: Mr. Nesar, by your opinion which points must be considered during the public awareness on women rights in the community?

Answer: Thanks, I should say that there is great need for public awareness regarding the women rights as the Mullahs and religious scientists should give awareness on the law provided by Islam and others for ensuring the rights  of human specifically on women rights to people through their preaches, the ways of the giving the right to women must be found because the rights are not given rather they are gotten, so my request from the women in our country is that they never think about commonplace issues and never waste their time, they should not worry a lot about the fashion of the cloths or selection of the hotels for marriage rather they should get the awareness regarding their Islamic rights before marriage, they should never try to imitate indecent customs of other countries lest our Islamic laws would be damaged, specified position and laws have been specified for women in Islam, you see the women working hard and endure much toil in Europe as men but Islam has obliged the man to provide alimony for women, Islam has called the hard work of women as a damage to women which confronts the women with health problems  so let us respect and pay attention to the Islamic principles and guidance and grapple at them  and try  to get our rights in the light of Islamic guidance.

The end
