Health Awareness Programmes in Nangarhar

Officials plan to sign a memorandum of understanding with local media for the broadcast of public awareness programmes on sanitation and health. A press release from the Nangarhar governor’s office quoting Najibullah Kamawal, provincial health director, said that in cooperation with some NGOs and donors they will sign short- term and long-term agreements with local media. Kamawal asserted that awareness raising by the media will improve people’s relations with health officials.
