Gul Ahmad Gerani, district police chief of Shar-e-Safa district of Zabul province, was gunned down by unknown armed men in Kandahar today.
Aziz Ahmad Azizi, spokesman for Kandahar governor, said that the armed men fled the area after gunning down Gerani and injuring one of his bodyguard.
