Bilateral ties, security, education and humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, and other issues of joint concern were discussed, said foreign ministry spokesman Qahar Balkhi.
Islamic Emirate officials acknowledged Qatar’s efforts for its humanitarian aid for Afghanistan and called for continued support, the spokesman said.
The IEA delegation last week left for the Qatari capital of Doha to meet EU and U.S. officials and discuss wide range of topics, including humanitarian issues.
The Gulf state played host to negotiations between the United States and the IEA political office that led to the February 2020 agreement for the United States to withdraw troops.
It also played an outsized role in the American airlift as the United States ended its 20-year war in Afghanistan.
