The second day of protests, sparked by the jihadi commander killing of a civilian in Parwan province, drew dozens of demonstrators to streets, raising outcry over the murder and urging for the arrest of the perpetrators.
Hundreds of cars are stuck as the route is closed to the traffic.
The highway was still closed to traffic, Wahida Shahkar, spokesperson for provincial governor spoke with TKG, adding efforts were underway to persuade the protestors to open the route.
Residents of Jabal Saraj district claim a civilian has been killed by men loyal to Noor Sekandar, advisor to the Afghan High Council for National Reconciliation and a jihadi commander.
According to Parwan governor’s spokeswoman, two arrests have been made so far.
