Foreign Minister leading a high-ranking delegation has departed for Herat to attend a joint conference with his Turkmen counterpart Raşit Meredow, said Foreign Ministry deputy spokesman Hamid Tahzib.
In the conference, both will exchange views on expansion of projects related to infrastructure, trade, transport as well as the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) power project and the TAPI gas pipeline project between the three countries and India, he added.
Boosting cultural and political ties between the neighboring countries will also be the conference deliberations, according to the spokesman.
The conference will be a step forward in regional connectivity.
Turkmenistan has been one of Afghanistan’s major economic and trade partners.
