At least five Taliban were killed Tuesday during Afghan forces raids in Alisheng district of Laghman province, said Sayed Maqsood Sahibzada, an army official.
Elsewhere, in Jawzjan, as many as 35 Taliban were killed and 16 others wounded in airstrikes.
A number of the Taliban weapons were also demolished in the raids.
There was no comment from the group.
