In a Facebook post, First Vice President Amrullah Saleh said that no arrest had been made so far in relation with destroying electricity pylons but measures are taken to protect them.
Efforts are underway to identify, arrest and hold the perpetrators to account, he said.
He called the action “nuisance and crime”.
It comes as a day earlier Afghan Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of four people in connection with the matter.
According to the power utility company—Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), as many as 13 power pylons have been damaged in Kabul and five other Afghan provinces in the past two weeks.
On Sunday afternoon, May 16, the company said its technical team has temporarily restored power.
