A truck struck a landmine in Dasht-e Padola area in Kabul’s seventh district Sunday morning around 7:00 local time, said provincial police.
According to Ferdaws Faramarz, Kabul police spokesman, the driver was injured in the explosion and taken to hospital.
The IED was placed on the ground from the war time.
The explosion comes amid a spike in bomb attacks across the war-torn country, claiming mostly civilians.
These attacks often remain unclaimed.
