A civilian car struck a roadside bomb in Toto area in Shirzad district of Afghan eastern Nangarhar province Wednesday morning, said district governor Shir Hassan Kamalzai.
Two civilians were killed and four others wounded in the explosion, he said.
He blamed the Taliban for the attack while the group has yet to comment.
Bomb attacks have soared in Afghanistan recently with civilians mostly being claimed.
