The air strike was carried out Monday evening in Sahak area in Zurmat district of eastern Paktia province, said Aimal Khan Momand, spokesman for 203rd Thunder Corps.
The air strike hit a car carrying Taliban, according to the spokesman, killing five members of the group.
A number of the group’s weapons and the vehicle were demolished.
There was no comment from the Taliban yet.
