The massive fire broke out after a fuel tanker truck caught fire in northern Kabul, Karizmir area, and quickly spread, said Tariq Arian, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior.
As many as 14 others were wounded and dozens of fuel trucks damaged in the fire.
It wasn’t clear what the cause of the ignition was, but sources from the area said it broke out after a bomb attached to a truck detonated.
Demanding recovery, drivers and residents in northern Kabul who were affected by the fire on Sunday took to streets, closing the route between Kabul and the north to traffic.
