Also, as many as 82 new cases of infection were reported in the country, bringing the nationwide case count to 57,242.
The new infection cases were registered in Kabul, Herat, Kandahar, Nangarhar, Kunduz, Nimroz, Helmand, Khost, Laghman and Kunar provinces.
Some 51,989 patients have recovered from the virus since the outbreak first appeared in China entered the country.
