An IED placed inside a flower pot went off Wednesday morning in the second district of Jalalabad city, said Hamid Rushan, deputy spokesman for Afghan Ministry of Interior.
At least two people, both civilians, were killed and 18 others wounded in the explosion, he said.
Four people were in critical health condition, according to the spokesman.
Afghan officials blame Taliban to be responsible for the attack. The group’s officials have yet to comment.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
