COVID-19: Afghanistan Reports 94 New Infections

Health ministry in Afghanistan on Sunday (April 05) reported 94 new COVID-19 infections and two related deaths in the past 24 hours.

According to Afghan health ministry, as many as two more patients have died after contracting the disease, pushing the toll of fatalities to 2,512.

Also, as many as 94 new cases of infection were reported in the country, bringing the nationwide case count to 56,873.

The new infection cases were registered in Kabul, Herat, Kandahar, Balkh Nangarhar, Paktia, Ghazni, Nimroz, Helmand, Maidan Wardak, Laghman and Kunar provinces.

Some 51,928 patients have recovered from the virus since the outbreak first appeared in China entered the country.

At least 2,372 tests were carried out during the last 24-hour-period.
