Coronavirus: Afghanistan Reports 11 New Deaths

Health ministry in Afghanistan on Sunday (April 4) reported 41 new COVID-19 infections and eleven related deaths in the past 24 hours.

According to Afghan health ministry, as many as eleven more patients have died after contracting the disease, pushing the toll of fatalities to 2,508.

Also, as many as 41 new cases of infection were reported in the country, bringing the nationwide case count to 56,717.

The new infection cases were registered in Kabul, Herat, Kandahar, Nangarhar, Ghazni, Baghlan and Kunduz provinces.

Some 51,865 patients have recovered from the virus since the outbreak first appeared in China entered the country.

At least 1,692 tests were carried out during the last 24-hour-period.
