Provincial police spokesman Farid Khan confirmed the murder to TKG, saying unidentified gunmen Thursday around 7:00am, local time, shot and killed a policewoman near the third district of Jalalabad city.
Two suspects have been arrested in relation to the matter, he continued.
It was the second attack on women in the province this week.
Earlier on Tuesday, three polio vaccination campaign workers were killed in an armed attack in the city.
Both attacks remained unclaimed.
