The Afghan intelligence agency known as the National Directorate of Security (NDS) said in a statement on Friday that these members of the Islamic State have been arrested during an operation by its Special Forces.
They were in charge of recruitments for the group and had been assigning its members to other provinces for recruiting, according to the statement.
The arrested people had also been encouraging people to carry out terrorist attacks as well as organized crimes. They were also actively involved in the extortion, abduction and assassinations, claiming civilians, traders and government officials.
In another statement, the Afghan spy agency said that its forces have arrested 55 members of the Islamic State/Daesh involved in the abduction of Abdul Rauf, an Afghan 9-year-old boy who had been kidnapped since months but has yet to be rescued.
