At least one inmate was killed and another four injured after clashes erupted between prisoners in Pul-Carkhi jail yesterday evening, Farhad Bayani, spokesman for the office of the prison administration said.
Afghan security forces managed to end the clash and took the wounded people to hospital, he said.
The motive of the clash wasn’t clear.
It wasn’t the first time that clashes has taken place between prisoners. Many have been died and wounded in similar incidents.
