The explosion took place in the seventh district of Jalalabad city, in Jangal Bagh area.
The nature of the blast wasn’t clear.
Security officials in the province have yet to disclose.
Gulzada Sangar, a spokesman for the provincial health department, however, confirmed to TKG that Malik Hashim was killed in the attack.
There was no claim of responsibility.
