Bomb Attack Foiled in Central Afghanistan

An explosive device was placed at a side of a road in Kulangar area of the provincial capital, Shahpor Ahmadzai, spokesman for the provincial police chief, said.

Police found and defused the roadside bomb, he added.

Afghanistan, already gripped by decades-long war and violence, has been witnessing a rise in bomb attacks.
