Karim Yourish, spokesman for the provincial police chief, said the Taliban militants Sunday evening attacked on Sheren Tagab district of Faryab province.
At least two security personnel were killed and another two wounded in the attack, he said.
Casualties inflicted to the insurgents, according to the spokesman, who said at least four Taliban militants were killed and another two wounded in the clash.
A group’s commander was also among the dead, the spokesman said.
The armed group has not commented yet.
