Taliban fighters early on Thursday morning stormed outposts belonging to Afghan security and uprising forces in Patoo district of central Daikundi province, Ghairat Ali Jawaheri, member of the provincial council, spoke to TKG.
The Taliban ambush took place around 4:00am local time.
At least nine members of the public uprising forces were killed and eleven others were wounded in the attack, he added.
Local authorities in the province have not commented yet, neither have the Taliban officials.
