As many as seven Taliban militants, including a senior member of the group named Enayatullah, were killed in a joint operation of national army’s special forces and security forces in Aqcha district of the province, said the 209th Shaheen Army Corps.
The operation was carried out Sunday night, according to a statement issued by the corps.
A number of weapons and military equipment were seized from the militants, it added.
The Taliban officials have not commented yet.
