At least four people tested positive for the coronavirus pandemic within the past 24 hours, according to the health ministry’s data published Monday.
The country lost one COVID-19 patient during the same period.
The new cases of infection were registered in Kabul, Kandahar and Helmand provinces.
The total deaths related to the disease has hit 2,428, according to ministry’s figures.
Also, 38 patients having been contracted with the COVID-19 disease have recovered over the past 24 hours, bringing the toll of coronavirus recoveries to 48,433.
Worldwide, at least 2,505,769 have died and more than 108.9 million have been infected since the start of an outbreak that first appeared in Wuhan, China, in early December.
